Lynton
Ellisor, Praise & Worship Leader, is a native Houstonian. He received his basic music training from his family, who were
all very musical. The University of Houston is where he received his formal education in piano, voice, business technology
and accounting. He has two vocations and careers, both in the business world and in music. During the past 32 years, he has
been a corporate controller, an administrator of a Christian chemical dependency residential treatment center, and presently
is the controller and business partner of The Marion Group one of the largest advertising
and marketing firms in Houston. His music career has included performing with Theater Under the Stars, the Houston Chamber
Opera, the University Concert Chorus and featured pianist on numerous occasions in the grand foyer of the Wortham Center,
home of Houston’s opera and ballet. He attended the Music University of Graz, Austria where he studied choral conducting
and performed with a concert choir who sang in several beautiful cathedrals in Europe. He is a former member of the Houston
Tidelander’s 125 Men's Barbershop Chorus. Lynton, early on in his life, felt God’s calling into the music ministry.
He has served in several churches in the Houston area in capacities as pianist, organist, youth director, Sunday School teacher,
finance committee chairman, music director and praise & worship leader. He has performed in many revivals and gospel concerts.
His gift from God, is the ability to use a blended style of traditional hymns and praise music as a ministry to touch and
bless others. You will want to get to know him. He also has a great sense of humor. He says “I know God has a sense
of humor every time I look into a mirror!”Click here to go to Lynton's favorite gospel radio
