Pastor Steven R. Lee accepted the unanimous call from
the congregation of Calvary Baptist Church on Sunday, July 1, 2007 to become the church’s fourth full-time pastor.
Born in Dallas, Texas in 1967, Steven, now 41, spent his formidable years growing up in Duncanville, Texas a suburb on the
Southwest side of Dallas.
In his youth Steven was a football,
basketball, and track participant and enthusiast. Before entering the Gospel Ministry, Steven worked for Southwest Airlines
in the Aircraft Maintenance Department as a Sr. Aircraft Maintenance Planner for seven years. While employed in the
Aviation industry he acquired a Pilot’s and Dispatcher’s license which he'll be glad to talk with you at length
- just ask! While working at Southwest Airlines Steven met the love of his life, next to Jesus of course, and was married
to Stephanie Diane Field of Corpus Christi, Texas on May 29, 1993.
Pastor Steven
earned a B.A.A.S. degree from Howard Payne University, in Brownwood, Texas and served in a three year pastoral intern program
as assistant to the Sr. Pastor of what was one of the largest Southern Baptist Churches on the Coastal Bend at the time.
Steven is now in his 16th year of pastoral ministry and has pastored churches, in Kansas and Texas. Before coming to
Calvary he was the Sr. Pastor for five years of the First Baptist Church of Belle Plaine, KS, just south of the Greater Wichita
area. Steven is an avid reader and loves to study, teach, and preach the Word of God. His wife Stephanie is the
consummate pastor’s wife, called of God and very comfortable in her role in supporting God’s man and Jesus’
Church. Stephanie as well as a homemaker, also, works outside the home in a local bank here in Pearland, and she loves
the doors for ministry that her job opens. The Lee’s have four children, affectionately known as the "Fantastic
Four." There are three girls and one boy, and their ages range from 10 to 2. In addition,
the Lee’s are proud owners of two dogs, a four year old Jack Russell and Rat Terrier mix, and a "Mini" Dachshund.
Steven’s hobbies include dating his wife, spending time with the kids, weight lifting, salt water fishing,
gardening, and fixing stuff that is broken.
The Lee’s are so blessed to
be back home in Texas. And, Pastor Steven considers it an honor and a privilege to pastor Calvary Baptist Church.
He looks forward to many productive and victorious years of ministry at this great church. Our Pastor and Pastor’s
wife have a heart for people and love seeing folks step out and live that dangerous faith that Jesus has called us to.
